We scoured the magazine stand this month to see what’s the best to buy. This months issue of Computer Arts Project is indeed a good one and we think it’s this months best magazine to buy!
The first thing to note is that the astounding fold-out cover includes the work of 24 artists from across the globe! With the theme being character design, it was guaranteed (more…)

This weekend I went to Manchester and whilst I unfortunately didn’t have time to visit the Richard Goodall Gallery, I did manage to find a great artist in Manchester city centre who was working on a few pieces for an upcoming exhibition. It’s a shame that the crummy camera on the iPhone 3G doesn’t show the true magnificence of this work but as I forgot to bring my SLR, it was my only option. I didn’t manage to catch his name but if anyone knows who he is, drop us an email or tweet and if he has a website, we’ll get a link to it and search the net for more of his fantastic artwork!

After alot of contemplation, I decided to redesign the site one last time (for a year or so at least!). There are alot of changes not only visually but also in the structure. Following on from my review of Letraset Markers, I thought it would be a good idea to review Letraset Bleedproof Marker pads.

Late last month, I decided that photography would be a good way to develop a better understanding of composition and would be good as a tool to develop my “artistic eye/eye for design”. I went to Jessops and decided to purchase a Canon Digital Rebel XSi SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens (Canon 450D In Europe) and a (more…)

Things have been busy over the last few months and so the website has been put on hold. But I have some free time on Sunday and I will begin laying out the new design for the site. I’m hoping that it will be completed in the next couple of¬†months so keep a lookout!

A friend at work recently decided that he would start taking a photograph a day¬† in order to start using his camera again which he hadn’t used for a long time and this got me thinking. For the last week I have been trying to complete a vector image a day to upload to istockphoto.com¬†to improve my skills and build on my portfolio. However, I have been busy of late and so I have adapted it from a vector a day to seven vectors in a week – meaning i can complete the vectors at any time within a week as long as I complete seven of them. I finished three today and so I will have to upload another four before Sunday midnight.
Vectors will be posted on the new site when it arrives but in the meantime visit istockphoto.com to see them!
